The Challenge

During university, many of my peers were gaining experience through traditional internships. I wanted a more hands-on way to learn digital marketing while building something of my own. At the same time, I noticed an opportunity for a more vibrant, lifestyle-focused running sunglasses brand aimed at students and young runners.

The Solution

I launched Nectar Run Club, an ecommerce brand selling running sunglasses online. I built the store, sourced products from an overseas supplier, organised fulfilment, and led all marketing activity myself. Throughout the summer, I published organic content daily across TikTok and Instagram, collaborated with friends and creators to produce videos, and created paid social campaigns that I tested through Meta Ads to understand what content and messaging resonated most.

The Result

The project gave me first-hand experience across the full marketing funnel, from content creation and paid media to ecommerce operations and customer acquisition. Several videos reached tens of thousands of views, helping grow awareness of the brand while generating sales. More importantly, it taught me how to create, test, analyse, and iterate quickly - skills that continue to shape how I approach digital marketing today.
